The Giveaway
This week, I am pleased to be partnering with Russell James, The Raw Chef, to bring you his Simple Chocolate Truffles, from his Chocolate e-book. Russell has been kind enough to offer one of his e-books as this week’s giveaway.
Many of you know I traveled to the UK to take one of Russell’s classes. What you may not know is that his last live classes will be happening in the next few weeks. For all of you readers in Europe, well, lucky you!
Lucky Here Too for Two
Here in the US, TWO of you can be just as lucky. We have only TWO spots remaining for the full week in North Carolina where we will make and indulge in truffles, no-egg nog, no-bake turkey, no-bake stuffing, pumpkin pie, and more goodies. All sounds delightfully easy, doesn’t it, not baking at Thanksgiving? At the Thanksgiving Feast + Getaway, I’ll show you how easy it all really is.
Rules for entry:
1/ Post your answer to the following question below: What is your favorite indulgence (chocolate or otherwise)?
2/ Be a subscriber of Raw News Bites (the weekly tips and recipes sent out via email). You can subscribe at www.rawnewsbites.com, and when you do, you will automatically have the chance to download the e-book “Around the World in 10 Easy Recipes”, for free.
That’s it!
xxo Eva Rawposa
My favourite indulgence is strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Oooooh, you are a prime contender for Russell’s e-book then… it has some in there! Mmmmm, dreaming of chocolate-covered strawberries now as I head off for sleep!
My favorite chocolate indulgence is raw chocolate mousse. It is so easy to make when the craving hits.
I’m a subscriber to your newsletter, too.
My favorite indulgence would be my morning fruit & greens smoothie with a tablespoon of cacao powder with a few mint leaves. That is my morning energy drink.
Guess what Nikki? You are the winner! I will contact Russell shortly.
Raw choco crackle. Just virgin coconut oil and cocoa, melted together and spread thin, kept in freezer. I break off a piece when I want a little chocolate boost, without having to mix anything up!
When I want to be fancier, I love ganache, in and on and inbetween all kinds of stuff.
My latest NON choco love is raw carrot cake with cashew “frosting” – whoa nelly, RICH stuff!
It’s fun to spring a raw dessert on the doubters – gets them everytime
Any raw chocolate…I adore! I guess I would have to say a raw chocolate pie!
Already a subscriber too!
Hugs!
Oh, delectable raw chocolate! I Love thee so much, let me count the ways;
Here’s just a couple;
I love to slice banana’s and dip them in raw chocolate and then sprinkle them with hemp seeds or chopped pecans and freeze. I take a piece out of the freezer whenever I want a frozen treat.
Another one of my favorites is to freeze a banana and then process it with a tablespoon or 2 of raw chocolate powder, a cup of cherries, and bits of raw chocolate chopped up to make a RAW Cherry Garcia Ice Cream! Delish! Can also be topped with Chocolate syrup made with liquid sweetener of your choice mixed with some cacao powder. YUM
my favorite indulgence is everything chocolate! i think that today’s indulgence will be elena’s raw cherry garcia ice cream
thanks elena!

I haven’t ventured into the world of raw chocolate much, but I do like making raw brownies. My favorite non dessert indulgance is probably basil pesto. Never knew about it before raw. Heaven!
Chocolate anything!
Yes, I LOVE chocolate. Now that I’ve discovered raw cacao, I’ve definitely found IT! Two weeks ago I made my own recipe:
16 medjool dates
1/4 cup cacao powder
1-2T. coconut oil
Blend together
I then added walnut pieces (no didn’t soak the walnuts)
Brownies, truffles, whatever the name, they were divine.
I Love Chocolate of the Gods with Avacado, Cacao powder, Agave Nectar/Date Paste, Maple Sugar and Vanilla Powder……It tastes like chocolate cake icing and I put in a nut pie crust and top it with loads of Strawberries…
I found the recipe on Woody’s Voice Yourself website.
Would love the chocolate book!!!

oh wow – everybody’s comments sound sooo delicious! My favorite indulgence is chocolate and I really love the taste of the raw chocolate (I never thought I would like anything more than regular old dark chocolate — but I like the raw cacao much better!). I haven’t tried to make any recipes yet myself with the raw chocolate, but the ones I have tried that other people have made have been to die for!
I love the raw chocolate from Shakti Life Restaurant…particularly the Brazil Nut Bon Bons!
